** This listing is for a companion course kit for a class I will teach for Sewing Expo fully online through Zoom. Come and join the fun! The kit does not include instructions. Please be aware that I ship the kits in bulk closer to the start day of the class, but with plenty of time for you to receive the kit. If you order several weeks before the class, the kit will not immediately ship.
If you wish to participate in the course, you will need to purchase the class at https://sewingexpo.com/OnlineClasses/ClassDescriptions.aspx
The price you pay here is to purchase the supplies you will need for the course. Purchasing the course pack by itself will not provide you with access to the course.
The class will take place over zoom on Friday, Friday, August 13, 2021 1:00-5:00 pm (EST).
The kit contains: wool felt, batting, felting needles, dissolvable fabric with the line drawing for the project, and a picture of the completed project for reference.
Required, but not included: a felting mat and a pair of small, sharp scissors.
Optionally, you may purchase the kit with a mat or the kit with the Clover pen multi-needle tool. It contains three needles.
Please use the drop-down menu to select your kit preference.
A frame is not included.
Highly recommended, but not required: Needle felting tool holding multiple needles. If you are going to buy just one, I recommend the Clover “pen” style. It holds three needles.
Ready to take your needle felting skills to the next level? Come create Alpine Beauty! During this class, students will learn to blend wools to create a lovely sky and clouds; integrate fine details to create reflections in water; and use color, size, and value to create depth in felted landscapes. Karen will discuss how to use a gray scale and value finder to choose values that add depth and dimensionality to a felted landscape. This class is geared towards those who wish to take their felting skills to the next level and know the basics, but beginners are welcome.
You will have access to the recording for one year after the class. The folks at Original Sewing Expo produce the recording and provide it to students. It takes them a minimum of two weeks to produce the recording. Please be aware that sometimes their email with the link to the recording goes to people's spam folders. If you have any questions about the recording, please email info [!at] sewingexpo.com. The staff are quite friendly and will be happy to assist.
